David Kyle
Former CEO of India School Finance Company & former COO of
Acumen Fund
David has just moved back to the US after living in Hyderabad for the past
three years where he founded the ISFC, a for-profit finance company that
provides medium term debt capital to private schools serving low-income
families. The company now has 2 branches, a staff of 45 and a portfolio of
well over 100 schools financed.
Prior to moving to India, David spent 4 years as Chief Investment Officer and
COO of New York-based Acumen Fund where he led the build out of the firm in
South Asia and East Africa. Prior to joining Acumen, David had served as
Chief Advisor to the CEO of the London-headquartered Save the Children
Alliance, responsible for establishing new, local agencies of Save the
Children in Argentina and Brazil.
During the first part of his career David spent 20 years with Citibank in
Brazil, Hong Kong, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 6 in Lisbon, Portugal where he built
a full service commercial and investment bank followed by 3 years in London
where he led the development of CitibankÂ’s first intranet client
management system in the late 1990s.

Bob Pattillo

An entrepreneur and philanthropist, Bob Pattillo is the founder of three
social enterprises; The Rockdale Foundation, Gray Ghost Microfinance Fund,
and Gray Matters Capital. He has over 12 years experience in microfinance and
social impact investing and is committed to global poverty alleviation and
the social empowerment of the poor. His current passion is an International
Education initiative targeting affordable private schools. Prior to this
career, Bob built and managed the 8th largest industrial real estate
development firm in the United States.
Along with his own social enterprises Bob sits on the board of directors of
several microfinance organizations and investment funds. He is a graduate of
Dartmouth College and the Harvard Owner/President Management Program. Bob
speaks internationally on microfinance issues.
Menekse Gencer

Director of Mobile Business Development for PayPal
Menekse Gencer founded mPay Connect, a consulting service for clients seeking
to launch mobile payments. Her consulting service advises banks, mobile
network operators, governments, development agencies, and third parties on
regulations, go-to-market-strategy, product design, business case, and
business development. Her market expertise extends from North America to
emerging markets such as Jamaica, Bangladesh and sub-Saharan Africa.
Prior to founding mPay Connect, Menekse led PayPal MobileÂ’s
Business Development efforts in North America for two years during which time
she closed PayPalÂ’s first mobile network operator deal to launch
PayPal Send Money on Sprint. Menekse has an MBA from Wharton and a BA in
Macroeconomics from Harvard University.
Christina Cacciopo

Ventures
Christina Cacciopo is a member of the investment team at Union Square
Ventures. Prior to Union Square Ventures, Christina was a consultant at the
Boston Consulting Group and a design researcher at Deutsche Telekom/T-Mobile
in Berlin, Germany. Christina graduated from Stanford in 2008 with a B.A. in
Economics and in 2009 with an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering, a
combination of industrial engineering, human-computer interaction, and
product design.
Bill Barhydt

Bill Barhydt is the CEO and Co-Founder of m-Via - a mobile banking and remittance company that helps people without bank accounts throughout the world to become part of the traditional financial system, using their mobile phones. Bill has become a recognized expert on mobile banking and financial inclusion in the Americas.
In the early days of the web, Bill was part of the team at Netscape, helping develop the first commercial browser and arguably kick-starting the Web, as we know it today. At Netscape and later at leading start-ups including Plaxo and Sennari Bill designed Internet banking systems, web hosting systems, E-Mail services, mobile phone games, group collaboration software and viral marketing software. He has also worked at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income Trading Group and for the US Government, first with the CIA and then at NASA where he worked in the Computer Graphics and Scientific Visualization Lab at NASA's Ames Research Center.
